Dyslexia Specialist
Experience in Education:
This will be my 22nd year in education and my 6th year working in Plano ISD. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching pre-K, kindergarten, first grade, and third grade. This year, I’m excited to serve as the full-time Dyslexia Specialist, supporting students as they grow into confident, lifelong readers.
Family:
I grew up in New York and moved to Texas after graduating high school. I’m a proud mom to my son, who is an architect in the Dallas area. My parents, originally from Nicaragua, are still living, and I’m grateful to have their love and support close by.
Interests/Hobbies:
When I can, I love fostering animals—usually dogs. I currently have three dogs at home: Foxy, an Australian Cattle Dog; Eva, a White Shepherd; and a sweet Doberman mix I’m fostering. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends whenever possible.
Interesting fact about me:
I worked as a Paralegal for 3 years before becoming a teacher
