5th Grade Teacher

Experience in Education:

I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade again this year! This will be my 4th year teaching 5th grade and my 3rd year at Hedgcoxe.

Family:

I grew up in the North Texas area but attended college at the University of Central Oklahoma. There, I studied elementary education and played collegiate volleyball. I taught for 1 year in Oklahoma and 1 year abroad while living with my then-fiancé in France, where he is from. I just got married this summer in France to my husband Kylian! I will continue to go by Mrs. Deschenes this year though!

Interests/Hobbies:

Outside of work, I love to travel, play volleyball , paint, workout, read and write. 

Interesting fact about me:

I played volleyball in college for the University of Central Oklahoma as an outside hitter! I lived in France while teaching and traveling throughout Europe because my husband is from the South of France!
